We deliver Emergency First Aid at Work Training in Ripon at your workplace. We can deliver an Emergency First Aid at Work course onsite in workplace for a group of delegates. The course is recognised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Certificated and is valid for 3 years. The course covers the standard EFAW content plus the use of AED defibrillators. The course cost is a group price for any number of delegates from 3 to 12. It is not a per person cost. If you would like a quote for more than 12 delegates, we would need to use more than 1 instructor, so please contact us. This course is designed for lower risk working environments and/or smaller organisations. This is a 1 day course

Summary

The Emergency First Aid at Work (level 2 equivalent) course is a one-day course that will teach you all the skills, knowledge and techniques you need to offer essential emergency medical treatment. You will learn how to manage illnesses and injuries effectively until the paramedics, or other medical professionals, arrive.

This HSE recognised emergency first aid at work cause is taught by experienced, qualified trainers, the course can be delivered either on-site at your place of work, or as an open course at a local training venue. The course leads to a nationally recognised qualification that’s valid for three years, even if you change employer.

The emergency first aid at work course covers the most common health and safety incidents you may be faced with as a first aider, including:

  • The use of available equipment
  • Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
  • Choking
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Shock
  • Minor injuries
  • Preventing cross infection
  • Recording incidents and actions

First Aid at Work

We can deliver the First Aid at Work training course at you workplace for a group of delegates from three to twelve. The cost quoted is a course price. If you wish more than twelve staff to be trained please contact us for a quote. The training is Certificated and is recognised by the HSE and the certificate lasts for 3 years. The training is over 3 days and includes Automated External Defibrillator Training

Travelling north on the A1(M). At junction 48, take the A6055 exit to A168/Boroughbridge/Ripon/Dishforth. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A6055. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A168. Go through 1 roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto B6265. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Ripon By-Pass/A61. Go through 1 roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Sharow Ln/A6108. At the mini roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the river bridge. At the next set of traffic lights – next to the clock tower – turn right onto the A6108 Palace Road signposted Masham and Lightwater Valley. Approximately 0.5 miles, take a left turn onto Kearsley Road. At the first road junction take the left fork. Highfield House is approx. 50 metres on the right.
From the A1 Southbound
Travelling south on the A1(M). At junction 50, take the A61 exit to Ripon/Thirsk. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A61. Go through 1 roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Sharow Ln/A6108. At the mini roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the river bridge. At the next set of traffic lights – next to the clock tower – turn right onto the A6108 Palace Road signposted Masham and Lightwater Valley. Approximately 0.5 miles, take a left turn onto Kearsley Road. At the first road junction take the left fork. Highfield House is approx. 50 metres on the right.
From Harrogate
Take the A61 to Ripon. Arriving at the Ripon by-pass, take the second exit from the roundabout, signposted Thirsk (A61). Continue to follow the signs to Thirsk (A61) over the next 3 roundabouts. At the 4th roundabout, take the first exit. At the mini roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the river bridge. At the next set of traffic lights – next to the clock tower – turn right onto the A6108 Palace Road signposted Masham and Lightwater Valley. After Approximately 0.5 miles, take a left turn onto Kearsley Road. At the first road junction take the left fork. Highfield House is approx 50 metres on the right.
From Pateley Bridge
Drive into the centre of Ripon. At the market place follow the route for the A61 Thirsk, Masham and Leyburn. At the Clock Tower (approximately 0.75 miles) turn left into Palace Road (signposted Lightwater Valley). Approximately 0.5 miles, take a left turn onto Kearsley Road. At the first road junction take the left fork. Highfield House is approx 50 metres on the right.
