First Aid at Work Refresher Enquire Now What is first Aid at work refresher training? First aid at work refresher training is designed to update and refresh the skills and knowledge of individuals who have previously completed a comprehensive first aid at work training course. This type of training is typically required every few years to ensure that first aiders remain competent and up-to-date with the latest first aid techniques, guidelines, and procedures. The three-day First Aid at Work Refresher course is approved by the Health and Safety Executive and meets the requirements of the First Aid at Work regulations (1981). When is first Aid at work refresher training required? The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommends that first aid at work (FAW) qualified staff attend a refresher training course at least every three years to maintain their qualification. Additionally, the HSE advises that first aiders might consider taking annual refresher courses, which are shorter and focus on keeping their skills and knowledge fresh. Employers should also consider the specific needs of their workplace when determining the frequency of refresher training. For example, in high-risk environments where accidents are more likely to occur, more frequent training may be necessary to ensure that first aiders are well-prepared to respond in an emergency situation. Why Should You Take a refresher Course? This comprehensive refresher course will not only refresh your understanding of the basics of first aid in the workplace, but also update your knowledge to the very latest techniques such as the use of an automated defibrillator. It is designed for you if you are a nominated first aider in a hazardous environment, such as a factory or a construction site, as well as refreshing your training for any other work situation. As an employer, this Health and Safety Executive approved course will not only help you to maintain your obligations under the First Aid at Work (1981) regulations, but also ensure that your staff, customers and visitors continue to be well protected and provided for.
