Why do I need manual handling training?

The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, state that as an employer, you have an obligation to protect the health and safety of your staff by ensuring they have suitable training in the correct way to lift and move heavy objects and people. As an employee, it is in your interests to learn lifting techniques that protect you from injuries at work and have a legal obligation to apply these techniques to reduce the risk to yourself and others in the workplace.

How can CE Safety Help?

CE Safety manual handling training offers expert tuition to help staff understand the mechanics of heavy lifting, how injuries occur and what can be done to prevent them. We offer bespoke manual handling training courses tailored to your industry, which can be delivered in as little as three hours, as well as comprehensive full-day manual handling training for the healthcare sector.

We understand the need for flexibility to fit in with shift patterns, especially in healthcare, and can arrange manual handling training courses at your convenience, either at our training centres or in-house at your premises.
